Sybase Expands U.S. Government Leadership with Key Advisory Role and Addition of New Federal Sector Head DUBLIN, Calif., Dec. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sybase, Inc. (NYSE:SY) a leading global enterprise infrastructure and mobile software company, today announced two milestones in the expansion of its U.S. Government sector leadership. Chairman, CEO & President John S. Chen today was sworn in to the President's Export Council, the U.S. government's principal advisory body on international trade. The company also announced that Federal industry veteran Bob Laurence has been appointed to run Sybase's expanding Public Sector business. Laurence as vice president, public sector. Most recently, Mr. Laurence founded Lyceum Network Integration, a Virginia-based technology services firm in 1998 where he served as President and CEO.
