617-374-4223 Addendum What are customers and partners saying about
SQL Anywhere 10 key features? New database server performance
features "Our customer's databases execute computationally
intensive OLAP (On Line Analytical Processing) queries while also
processing online transactions," said Paul Horan, senior
consultant, Cynergy Systems. "SQL Anywhere 10 features, like
intra-query parallelism, allow us to squeeze even more performance
out of the database engine itself, and the new application
profiling tools help pinpoint troublesome queries in production
with minimal impact." Enhanced methods for data protection "Our
Data Center processes thousands of transactions per minute for
banking institutions," said Jose Henrique (Zote), IT analyst,
Bludata Software. "The high availability features in SQL Anywhere
10 have helped us significantly reduce the risk of even one minute
of downtime to our clients." Expanded developer productivity
resources and platform support "With over 70 million Symbian
smartphones shipped, SQL Anywhere 10 is ideally positioned to take
advantage of the large number of businesses that use Symbian OS
devices," said Simon Garth, vice president of marketing, Symbian
Limited. "The combination of SQL Anywhere and Symbian OS provides a
solid platform for organizations to extend business applications to
popular smartphones, giving employees access to critical business
data wherever they are." Innovations in synchronization and
service-oriented architectures (SOA) "Each of our customers has a
unique enterprise architecture with various needs for
data-exchange," said Mark Botticelli, vice president of
engineering, Trimble Mobile Solutions, Handheld Solutions Group.
"The ability to synchronize with non-relational data sources as
well as the innovations in mobile Web services and SOA
architectures will give us even more flexibility in making the
crucial link between enterprise systems in the field." DATASOURCE:
