Sybase 365 Continues to Expand Inter-Operator Connectivity into Asia and the Middle East

Sybase 365, a subsidiary of Sybase, Inc. (NYSE: SY), the global
leader in mobile messaging services, today announced further growth
in the Asia market with its selection by eight leading mobile
operators to provide International SMS connectivity. The company
also announced the launch of its KSX service, a unique local
language service enabling SMS communication for Korean subscribers
in their own language. Sybase 365 continues to expand its
connectivity footprint across Afghanistan, Bhutan, Cambodia, China,
Macau, Singapore, the Federated States of Micronesia, and Vietnam,
through agreements with Roshan; Tashi InfoComm Limited (TICL);
Viettel Cambodia; China Telecom; China Unicom Macau; GRID
Communications; FSM Telecommunications Corporation; and S-Telecom.

connectivity covers Korea, where the company has 100 percent reach
to mobile subscribers in the country, delivering an average of 3
million mobile messages per month within country and
internationally, in particular to North America and Asia. To add
further value to Korean mobile subscribers, Sybase 365 today also
announced the availability of its KSX service, an intelligent local
language service designed for SMS exchange. The KSX service enables
over 48 million Korean residents in the country and 5.6 million
Koreans residing abroad to send and receive text messages in
Korean. The service is available in most of the world via supported

management, enabling operators to raise the value of their
