The agreement was made in recognition of increasing GPRS traffic and GSM usage throughout the Asia-Pacific region. It is the first peering agreement in Singapore of two global GRX providers. �Currently, all GRX networks peer in Amsterdam. Utilizing a new peering point in Singapore significantly reduces the distances that roaming data traffic has to cover when travelling between two mobile operator networks in the Asia-Pacific region,� said Patrick George, vice president, marketing & product management, Belgacom ICS. �For our operator customers� subscribers, this will mean faster and more reliable data connectivity while roaming in the region.
