Delphi Automotive Set to Join S&P 500

NEW YORK, Dec. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Delphi Automotive plc (NYSE:DLPH) will replace Titanium Metals Corp. (NYSE:TIE) in the S&P 500 after the close of trading on Friday, December 21. S&P 500 constituent Precision Castparts Corp. (NYSE:PCP) is acquiring Titanium Metals in a deal expected to be completed soon pending final approvals.      

Delphi Automotive manufactures vehicle components. Headquartered in Gillingham, England, the company will be added to the S&P 500 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Auto Parts & Equipment Sub-Industry index.
