TUMI, the leading international luxury travel and lifestyle brand will officially unveil its largest new flagship location in the highly anticipated Oculus of One World Trade in New York City on Tuesday, August 16. The latest addition to TUMI’s fleet will debut an immersive shopping experience which has been updated to suit the needs of the evolving TUMI consumer.

The 2,000 square foot space was designed to be the premier retail hub where Global Citizens are able to experience the most advanced and cutting edge technology at the forefront of travel-lifestyle retail innovation – the new store concept brings the TUMI brand aesthetic to life as it syncs modern sophistication and technical innovation to create an elevated architectural destination.

“The TUMI brand has always been respected and known to be the pioneer of travel and lifestyle products; focusing on design, function and technical innovation; we knew we needed to capture that same brand integrity when it came to building out our vision for our stores,” says Michael Petry, Global Creative Director of TUMI. “What was once considered a ‘Store of the Future’ concept is really the ‘Store of Now’; it’s a departure from what the brand has been known for, in that we added seating for our customers, a charging station to re-charge their phones and focused our merchandise presentation on specific categories, rather than collections-- all allowing the customer to have a better experience and to see a broader range of assortments, regardless of what they are buying.”

TUMI’s state of the art, downtown location will not only debut an elevated interior design and merchandising concept-- but will also be the first TUMI flagship to tailor its operating time from early morning to later evening hours, accommodating the unpredictable and fluctuating schedules of busy customers in the high-traffic, commuter space. The location will also be TUMI’s first to motivate customers to stay longer in its inviting seating area, complete with in-store Wi-Fi and both conventional and induction charging stations. To further expand the store’s digital capabilities, the location will launch a large format touch-screen digital kiosk for a more flawless in-store shopping experience.

As a premier destination for travel, business and everyday accessories, this location will offer an expansive array of products from TUMI’s premium, core, women’s, men’s and electronic collections, as well as limited-edition collections such as this season’s Landon Splatter collection.
