Leslie D. Owen has been named senior vice president and segment
manager for the newly-created retail market segment management team
at Union Bank of California, N.A. She will report to Joseph M.
Petitti, executive vice president and head of retail segment
management. Her responsibilities include supporting Petitti in
developing strategies to target and deepen the bank�s relationships
with consumers. �Union Bank is very fortunate to have an

25 years of banking and financial services experience in both
product and segment marketing, she has a proven track record as a

recently vice president of asset management products and services
for Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., Owen began her career in Los
Angeles at the former Security Pacific National Bank and quickly
rose up the ranks in operations, international and retail banking.
In l992, she joined Charles Schwab as a senior product manager in
retail marketing at the firm�s San Francisco office. A year later,
she was named marketing director for Schwab Institutional and
served in that position until l997, when she was promoted to vice
president for the group. Owen obtained her B.A. degree from the
University of California at Berkeley and also studied at the
Institute for American Universities in France. She received an
M.B.A. degree from Duke University and is a licensed broker and
securities principal. Owen and her family reside in Mill Valley.
