--Private-equity groups including TPG Inc., Apax Partners, Bain Capital LLC and Cinven Group Ltd. have shown interest in buying a majority stake in WPP PLC's market-research unit Kantar, the Times of London reports.

--WPP said in October that it would look to sell a majority stake in Kantar, which is valued at between 2.6 billion pounds and GBP3.5 billion ($3.3 billion-$4.5 billion), according to the Times.
