atai CEO outlines strategic focus for 2025 including four major data readouts
atai Life Sciences (NASDAQ:ATAI, ETR:9VC) CEO and co-founder Dr Srinivas Rao talked with Proactive about the company's upcoming clinical milestones and strategic focus in 2025. Rao outlined four major clinical readouts across atai’s pipeline of short-duration psychedelics, including updates on VLS-01, BPL-003, RL-007 and EMP-01. The company has dosed its first patient in the VLS-01 trial for treatment-resistant depression, a study that includes an innovative two-dose approach. Rao noted, “This will be the first data set that's going to come out that really addresses the question of what is the incremental benefit of a re-dose?” The trial is expected to read out in Q1 of next year. The BPL-003 trial has completed enrolment and is expected to report results mid-year, alongside RL-007, which targets cognitive impairment associated with schizophrenia. EMP-01, which focuses on social anxiety disorder, is also underway with data expected around the same time as VLS-01. Rao also highlighted that atai recently raised additional capital, extending its funding runway into 2027. The company is focused on short-duration psychedelics with easy-to-administer formulations, such as VLS-01's oral strip delivery system. BluGlass talks quantum sensing & commercial wins
BluGlass Head of Corporate and Investor Relations Stefanie Winwood talked with Proactive at the AIM's Small and Midcap Conference about the company’s work in gallium nitride (GaN) laser technology and its growing role in quantum sensing, computing, and defense applications. Winwood explained that gallium nitride is a compound semiconductor that can conduct electrons significantly faster than traditional silicon. BluGlass is one of a few companies globally producing visible lasers using GaN, a technology that is crucial in precision applications such as post-GPS navigation and quantum computing. “BluGlass is leading the market in the precision applications and these precision applications are the ones that are growing more rapidly,” Winwood said. The company works with large clients such as the US Department of Defense and major semiconductor players like General Electric and Coherent. BluGlass has recently secured contracts worth USD 6 million and aims to build long-term, revenue-generating relationships through projects that can lead to multi-decade manufacturing deals. Wrkr CEO on super compliance growth strategy
Wrkr Limited CEO Trent Lund talked with Proactive at the AIM's Small and Midcap Conference about the company’s strategy to simplify compliance through a deeply integrated digital platform. The ASX-listed company, trading under the ticker WRK, connects users, employers, and superannuation funds to streamline data accuracy and reduce friction in onboarding processes. “We do all the hard work and the heavy lifting so the business and the employee don’t have to,” said Lund. He explained that Wrkr verifies user credentials and automates data flows, reducing error and increasing trust. The system connects to major superannuation funds and payroll systems, holding accurate user information even during job transitions. Lund detailed Wrkr’s monetisation model, which aims to earn approximately $7 per user through microservices, including license checks and transactions. Current pilots, including one with major fund REST, are transitioning to production. Each super fund implementation takes about nine months and represents between $7 million and $14 million in annual annuity revenue once fully operational. Looking ahead, 2025 will be focused on large-scale implementation, with 2026 anticipated to generate higher consumption-based revenues.
