             Advanced Technology (UK) Plc ("the Company" or "ATL")

                              Issue of new shares

Between 11 November 2003 and 17 November 2003 ATL has received validly executed
notices of exercise in respect of 474,560 bonus warrants ("Bonus Warrants").
Bonus Warrants were issued to shareholders pursuant to the arrangements set out
in the Company's circular dated 21 November 2002 and approved by shareholders on
17 December 2002. Each Bonus Warrant entitles the holder to subscribe for one
new ordinary share at a price of 10p per share.

Accordingly the Company has today allotted 474,560 new ordinary shares of 5p
each in the capital of the Company. Application has been made for admission to
AIM of such new ordinary shares. Admission is expected to take place on 21
November 2003.
