BOARD CHANGES


Convergent Communications plc announces that Tony Farmer will resign as a
Director and Chief Executive of the Company with effect from 6th April 2003.
The Board would like to express its gratitude to Tony for his contribution to
the business.

Tony commented "I believe that I have successfully steered the Convergent Group
through difficult times and that now is an appropriate time for me to bow out as
the Company enters the next phase of its corporate life."

Graham Trevor Darnell (aged 39) will join the board of Convergent Communications
plc with effect from 7th April 2003 as Chief Executive.  Graham has extensive
management experience in technology companies and for some years occupied a
senior role within Orange, as it launched its service into the UK market.  From
1993 to 1997 Graham managed a range of mobile phone activities from insurance
services and call centres to phone distribution and after sales.  Subsequently
and from 1997 to 2000, he was the UK managing director of IEC Limited, a
services business focusing on the computer and telecoms markets, where he grew
revenues from #18m to #48m whilst enhancing the performance of the business
through cost reduction and improved customer service.

Most recently he was chief executive of Science Warehouse Limited, a business
developing supply-chain software.  Following its launch Graham successfully
secured several major customers, completed building of its software on time and
within budget. Following a change in the financial strategy of its principal
backer, Graham was forced to place the business into administration in March
2002.  At the time the principal creditors were two software licensors, both of
whom accepted the terms offered to them and continue to work with Science
Warehouse Limited.  Graham resigned shortly before the company came out of
administration in July 2002 and the business continues to trade.  Graham is a
Certified Accountant and holds an MBA from Birmingham University.

Commenting on his appointment, Graham said "Convergent is a market leader and I
look forward to working with its staff, customers and suppliers in further
developing its product offering and ensuring it continues to grow and enhance
its market position."

Graham has been during the last five years but is no longer a director of the
following companies: Science Warehouse Limited and IEC Limited.

There are no further matters to be disclosed under paragraph (f) of Schedule Two
of the AIM Rules.
