BOSTON, Jan. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- At a meeting held on
January 22, 2010, shareholders of Eaton Vance National Municipal
Opportunities Trust (the "Trust") (NYSE:EOT), a closed-end
investment company, voted to elect Benjamin C. Esty, Thomas E.
Faust Jr. and Allen R. Freedman as Class I Trustees of the Trust,
each for a three-year term. The Trust's Class II and Class III
Trustees, who serve staggered terms, were not up for election and
remain in office. The Trust is managed by Eaton Vance Management, a
