GENERIC ANNOUNCEMENT

Mourant & Co Trustees Ltd, St Helier, Jersey - the Trustee of the discretionary
trust established for the purposes of the Company's Long Term Incentive Plan
(LTIP) - advised the Company on 13 March 2003 that they purchased 700,000
ordinary shares in the Company during the period 12 to 13 March 2003 at an
average price of 523.7p to satisfy awards made to the executive Directors and
to other executives of the Company under the LTIP.
