NEW CONTRACT WIN STRENGTHENS LEADING TRANSPORT NETWORK
Maiden Group plc, the outdoor advertising group, announced today that it has won
the rail advertising contract for South East Trains Ltd.
The South East Trains contract is effective from 1 January 2004 and will run for
three years. It includes panels across a range of poster sizes and includes the
key stations of Waterloo East, Orpington, Bromley, Tonbridge, Lewisham and
Sevenoaks. Running approximately 1,700 trains a day, South East Trains is the
second largest train operating company (TOC) in the UK. Over 35% of rail
commuters to London travel via this network.
David Pugh, Managing Director commented:
"The retention of this major contract, together with First Great Western means
that Maiden has now successfully renewed nearly 20% of the revenue value of its
train company advertising business since early 2003. We're delighted by the
confidence that South East Trains has expressed in Maiden's ability to maximise
advertising income on their behalf."
