PROBUS ESTATES PLC ("Probus" or the "Company")

The Company has today applied for 6,777,751 new ordinary shares of 1p each to be
admitted to trading on AIM. The new ordinary shares have been issued in lieu of
interest on outstanding loan notes at an average price of 1.2p.

It is anticipated that admission will take place on 24 September 2003.
