UK-Based Telabria Deploys P-Com Radios to Provide Wireless
Broadband Services in England CAMPBELL, Calif., March 22
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- P-Com, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: PCOM) , a
worldwide provider of wireless telecom products and services,
todayannounced that Telabria, a provider of wireless broadband
networks in England, is deploying P-Com radios to deliver
high-speed Internet access to rural portions of the country.
Telabria is using P-Com's SPEEDLAN 9000, a family of broadband
wireless routers featuring 128-bit AES encryption for mesh, star,
and point-to-point deployment. SPEEDLAN, produced by P-Com's Wave
Wireless Networking Division, is one of the few mesh solutions that
is EU/ETSI compliant because of its ability to deliver maximum TX
power of 20dBm/100mW at the antenna. "SPEEDLAN is a highly reliable
solution that is fully compliant with EU power emission
regulations, and which enables Telabria to offer a cost-effective
alternative to fixed broadband to rural and remote regions of
England," said Jim Baker, President and CEO of Telabria.
"Leveraging P-Com's technology, Telabria is delivering community
broadband networks to parts of England that cannot receive wireline
broadband services, such as DSL or cable." By leveraging SPEEDLAN,
Telabria is able to transform broadband connectivity into a
comprehensive community network. As a result, Telabria subscribers
can securely share resources on the mesh, such as printers, storage
devices and neighborhood watch network video cameras, easily and
reliably. Geoff Giese, Vice President and head of License Exempt
Products for P-Com said: "A rapidly growing number of residents and
businesses in England want broadband access, but today can't get it
because of the physical limitations of DSL and cable service, while
dial-up is unacceptably slow. By partnering with P-Com, Telabria is
creating a powerful wireless infrastructure that can provide
broadband services to virtually any portion of the country."
SPEEDLAN helps deliver last mile connectivity for high-speed
Internet and intranet access using outdoor fixed-wireless
building-to-building solutions. SPEEDLAN products are deployed in
more than 80 countries by public and private enterprises,
government and educational institutions, and Internet Service

Statements in this release that are forward looking involve known
and unknown risks and uncertainties, which may cause P-Com's actual
results in future periods to be materially different from any
future performance that may be suggested in this release. Such
factors may include, but are not limited to: the ability to achieve
positive cash flow given the Company's existing and anticipated
operating and other costs, and current sales trends; the need to
raise additional equity capital, and whether that capital is
available on acceptable terms, if at all; the Company's ability to
negotiate repayment terms with many of its creditors, and settle
outstanding litigation; the continued intense competition from
leading telecommunications equipment and technology suppliers
resulting in lower average selling prices; fluctuations in customer
demand; reliance upon subcontractors; the ability of P-Com's
customers to finance their purchases; the timing of new technology
