SIEMENS LICENSING AGREEMENT FOR ARM & SUPERSCAPE
Superscape Group plc (LSE: SPS) announces that Siemens Information and
Communications Mobile Group (Siemens Mobile) is licensing the ARM Swerve i3D
Graphics Client, jointly developed by ARM ((LSE: ARM), (Nasdaq: ARMHY))) and
Superscape. Swerve i3D Graphics Client will be integrated into future Siemens'
mobile phones for the delivery of 3D applications. The Swerve i3D Graphics
Client will also include support for JSR 184, the global standard for 3D Java
applications on mobile handsets, which is due to be ratified later this year.
"Our long-standing partnership with ARM on the development and promotion of the
Swerve i3D Graphics Client has now resulted in this major endorsement from
Siemens, one of the world's leading manufacturers of mobile handsets," said
Kevin Roberts, CEO, Superscape. "Through this agreement, Siemens will be
actively encouraging the proliferation of interactive 3D applications on mobile
phones."
