PR Newswire (US)
Saturday, November 10, 2007 NEW YORK, Nov. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/
-- XA, Inc., (XA) (OTC BB: XAIN), a major national event marketing
firm that serves many Fortune 500 companies, reports that its
wholly owned subsidiary The Experiential Agency, Inc. has been
selected by New Yorker magazine's Promotion Department as the event
production agency for the Passport to the Arts cocktail reception
and silent auction. The event will take place at the Xchange
located in West Chelsea on Saturday, November 10, 2007, from 6:00
pm to 8:00 pm. As the production team of record, XA through its
wholly owned subsidiary The Experiential Agency, Inc., will
produce, design and develop the event at the Xchange. Passport to
the Arts allows participants to take a self-guided tour of leading
Chelsea galleries and receive a limited-edition pocket-size art
collection. The day-long event culminates in the cocktail reception
and silent auction at the Xchange where guests will have the
opportunity to bid on select works of art from emerging artists to
benefit Friends of the High Line. Friends of the High Line is a
501(c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation
and reuse of the High Line -- a 1.5 mile, elevated railway that
runs along the West Side of Manhattan. Joe Wagner, CEO of XA,
states, "We are pleased to have been chosen by New Yorker as the
production company for their annual event. XA looks forward to the
opportunity to showcase design logistics and production
capabilities in support of such an exciting evening benefiting a
worthwhile cause." Marketers spent an estimated $171 billion in
event marketing in 2005, up 3% from the previous year. In addition,
96% of marketing executives reported that they use events in their
marketing mix according to PROMO's survey of event marketing
executives. (Source: PROMO Magazine, April 2006) About The New
Yorker The New Yorker is an American magazine that publishes
reportage, criticism, essays, cartoons, poetry, and fiction.
Formerly published weekly, the magazine is now published 42 times
per year with an additional five (usually more expansive) issues
covering two-week spans. Although its reviews and events listings
often focus on the cultural life of New York City, The New Yorker
has a wide audience outside of New York. It is well-known for its
commentaries on popular culture and eccentric Americana; its
attention to modern fiction by the inclusion of short stories and
literary reviews; its rigorously fact-checked, copyedited
journalism about world politics and social issues; and its famous,
single-panel cartoons sprinkled throughout each issue. About XA XA
is a holding company for several wholly-owned subsidiaries, one of
which is The Experiential Agency, Inc., an Illinois corporation.
The Experiential Agency, Inc. has offices in Chicago, New York and
Los Angeles from which it provides corporations and highly visible
brands with comprehensive event marketing, design and production
services. Since 1989, the XA team has been the creative force
behind prestigious, national projects for such clients as The NBA,
Disney, McDonald's, British Telecom, Song Airlines, Eurex, Olympus,
Salvatore Ferragamo, Vogue, W Hotels, ABN AMRO and Emirates
Airline. In 2003 and 2004, Special Events Magazine ranked XA as one
of the "Top 50 Powerhouse Event Companies in the World." Forward
