TORONTO, Jan. 9, 2015 /CNW/ - Home Capital Group Inc.
(TSX:HCG) today announced that Gregory W.
Parker has been appointed as Executive Vice President and
Chief Risk Officer of Home Capital and its wholly owned subsidiary,
Home Trust Company, effective January 1,
2015.
Mr. Parker joined Home Capital as Treasurer in September of 2010
and was subsequently promoted to Senior Vice President in November,
2012. In his role as Treasurer, Mr. Parker was responsible for
leading the Company's treasury activities, effectively managing
Home's liquidity and funding risk, investment and structural
interest rate risk, and cash management activities, and growing the
investment portfolio. Mr. Parker has in-depth knowledge of sound
and prudential risk management practices and maintains a broad
understanding of all areas of the Company's business through his
membership in a number of management committees, including his
active participation as chair of the Asset/Liability and Retail
Product Pricing Committees.

the Company's Treasury team, Greg has been instrumental in
spearheading a number of effective strategic initiatives,

Prior to joining Home Capital, Mr. Parker held numerous
positions of increasing responsibility at various financial
institutions, including major Canadian banks and leading
international firms. Most recently, he was Director, Capital
Markets Division at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial
Institutions. Mr. Parker holds an MBA degree from Dalhousie University, has completed the Canadian
Securities Course and is a member of the Board of Directors of
PsiGate Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of Home Capital.
