Though the world is short on mines dedicated to niobium production, that could change over the next few years as a number of late-stage developers make the jump to mining.

One of the most prominent near-stage assets is NioCorp Developments’ (NASDAQ:NB) Elk Creek Project in Nebraska. Located 129km south of Omaha, the project — when it comes online — will be the only niobium mine and the primary niobium processing facility in the US.

Already, NioCorp has secured all the necessary construction permits and contracted 75% of its planned ferroniobium production for the first 10 years of operation. According to a 2022 Feasibility Study, Elk Creek is expected to produce almost 7,500 tonnes of ferroniobium annually over a 38-year life, with production due to begin at the start of 2026.

It’s that time of year where we should all give thanks. Two years ago we were so thankful that Mark wanted us to merge with GXII. We were going to get the needed funds to finish the detailed engineering work and get the money to break ground. Instead, we were slaughtered and gutted. The NYC thugs have taken Mark and all of us to the cleaners. Happy Thugsgiving everyone!

I made inquiry following the election as to what effect, if any, the results of the election and the incoming administration would have on the pending items with DOD and EXIM. There are prior relationships between certain members of the NB management team and the incoming transition team. They have indeed been in daily contact and the Trump transition team is completely and totally supportive of the work DOD and EXIM are doing with NioCorp. Just "ignore" the noise from those who want this project to fail for their own selfish reasons.

Honestly, 10M wouldn't do anything right now anyway. I say hold it back until we have other money in place and the 10M could further supplement our effort to produce a master alloy which is what the 10M is actually for. Its not for can kicking to pay the light bill and salaries.

That's funny also. DOD must be very prudent and scrutinize the expense of $10M. Make sure that 10M going to the right cause. After all, 10M is a lot of money, mind you. We might be a bit more on the mineral hungry side this time, but Im not holding my breath. If they slash EPA rules that aren't a problem anyway for us, we are still flat broke. It can't hurt to reduce EPA rules in any raw material industry. If we got ground broken by the end of 2020, we might be just now producing usable materials. We missed the opportunity to stockpile for WWIII by about 4-8 years if the right's intention was to stockpile.

Its bullshit when its wrong. This has done absolutely nothing but fail. There have been some glimmers of positivity in process results and permitting, but the net trend is failure. The thing all the fanboys never accepted is that Mark has nothing to deal with. Fake inputs were obvious over ten years ago. It’s just been a paycheck scam ever since.

How many years do we keep giving Mark a free pass? He predicted a watershed year in 2024. Financing was imminent over 5 years ago. I could go on and on about all of Mark’s forward looking statements 🙄 that he’s made over the years that have never come to fruition. Sheeeeesh Putz? Do you no longer own shares in NB here? I have never understood why anyone who owns shares in a company would constantly bash the company or hope that its shares tank. The only reason to hope the shares tank during tax loss selling season would be if one wanted to double up or acquire more shares before the typical January rebounds after tax loss selling season.

Not to mention those shareholder votes are only advisory. The only way Mark Smith or anyone else can be removed is if the Board of Directors takes action to effectuate such a removal.
