Sentry Select Primary Metals Corp. (the "Corporation")(TSX: PME) announces that the Corporation's independent directors are commencing a review to consider strategic alternatives that may be available to the Corporation with the objective of seeking to maximize shareholder value.

The Corporation intends to provide further information following the strategic review process.

The independent directors may retain, at the expense of the Corporation, independent advisors to assist in their review and evaluation of alternatives.

Sentry Select Primary Metals Corp.'s investment objective is to provide shareholders with long-term capital appreciation by investing in an actively managed portfolio consisting primarily of securities of mining and exploration issuers.
