SNC-Lavalin (TSX: SNC) is pleased to announce it has been
awarded a contract valued at over $20
million to provide management and technical guidance to
Argentine nuclear reactor operator Nucleoeléctrica Argentina SA
(NA-SA).
Under the contract, SNC-Lavalin will send 30 subject matter
experts and reactor specialists to Argentina to guide NA-SA through the life
extension of its CANDU reactor, which includes replacing main
reactor components and balance of plant (BOP) equipment. The
reactor is located at Embalse, Córdoba.

the Embalse nuclear power plant to provide safe, reliable,
affordable and low-carbon energy for up to another thirty
years."
This contract follows previous work SNC-Lavalin has done for
NA-SA, including engineering, procuring and testing 370
state-of-the-art tooling systems to replace the 380 pressure tubes
that hold the nuclear fuel bundles.
