MMX Minera��o e Met�licos S.A. (BOVESPA: MMXM3) (TSX: XMM) announces to its shareholders and the market in general that the Board of Directors elected, in a meeting held on December 2nd, 2008, Mr. Chequer Hanna Bou Habib MMX's new Investor Relations Officer, replacing Mr. Nelson Jos� Guitti Guimar�es, who was invited by OGX to be the Engineering Executive Manager, subordinated to the Production Development Officer.

Mr. Chequer Hanna Bou Habib, elected MMX's Officer on July, 24, 2008 and responsible for the commercial activities of the Company, is a civil engineer and has more than 35 years of experience in the mining sector, having carried out commercial activities as Marketing and Administrative Officer at Rio Doce International (a Vale Group Company) in Brussels, being responsible for the European and Middle Eastern markets for more than 10 years, and served as CEO of S.A. Minera��o Trindade (Samitri), Ferteco Minera��o and Gulf Industrial Investments Co (GIIC), in Bahrain, Persian Gulf.

MMX's financial activities will be provisionally headed by the Controlling Officer of EBX Group, Mr. Luis Eduardo Fischman, whose experience at EBX allows him having a broad vision on the Group's businesses. Mr. Fischman is an economist and has more than 20 years of experience in the financing area, having worked at several companies as Financial Manager and Financial Officer, such as Ceras Johnson, Abbott, Galderma and Warner Music Brasil.
