Broadview Press (TSX VENTURE:BDP) reports net sales for the first nine months of
2009 of $2,352,359, an increase of 5.0 per cent over the same period last year
(2008 = $2,239,309).

Because Broadview's operations are seasonal, the company historically posts
losses in the first and second quarters, typically followed by profits in the
third and fourth quarters. For the first nine months of the year the company is
reporting a net loss (after tax) of -$173,172-a slight improvement over the
previous year (2008: -$196,587). Results since the end of Q3 provide some
grounds for concern; October sales were down considerably from October 2008
levels.

Broadview's quarterly financial statements, as well as its management discussion
and analysis of these results, can be read by visiting www.sedar.com. Broadview
Press is an internationally-oriented, Canadian-based academic book publisher.
