Blackstone Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BLV) is pleased to report the results of
recent diamond drilling at the Dalen nickel target in Norway which included
0.60% Ni and 0.25% Cu over 22.1m. The Dalen target is part of the Espedalen
nickel project which hosts 12 past producing nickel mines and 24 nickel
occurrences.

Dalen Nickel Target, Espedalen Nickel Project

The Dalen target was first drilled in 2004 testing a weak electromagnetic (UTEM)
conductor. Three short drill holes tested the Dalen North area with hole
ES2004-05 (drilled 50 metres southwest of ES08-135) intersecting 31.2 metres
grading 0.45% Ni starting at a depth of 8.8 metres.

Recent Exploration

Eight drill holes have recently been completed in the north Dalen area. Assays
received from hole ES08-135 include 0.60% Ni, 0.25% Cu over 22.1m (from 19 -
41.1m drill depth). Assays are pending for the seven remaining holes.

Early results indicate this mineralized pyroxenite extends and significantly
thickens northward. The mineralization appears to be flat lying and therefore
drill thickness is interpreted to be close to true thickness. The most northerly
drill hole, ES08-141, collared 150 metres north of ES2004-05 cut 103.5 metres of
mineralized pyroxenite starting at a down-hole depth of 20 metres (assays
pending). The style of mineralization in ES08-141 is similar to that cut in
drill hole ES08-135 which assayed 0.60% Ni over 22.1 metres. Holes ES08-140
(collared 100m northeast of ES08-135) and ES08-144 (collared 50m southeast of
ES08-135) intersected the mineralized pyroxenite over thicknesses of 74 and 24
metres respectively. Holes ES08-142 and 143 did not intersect pyroxenite. A
drill hole location map and cross-section is appended to this release (to view

According to Dean MacEachern, "Dalen is proving to be a very exciting nickel
target at Espedalen. Long core lengths of mineralized pyroxenite at shallow
depths with thickening northward to untested regions certainly have positive
initial indications for a bulk tonnage nickel target."

Continued Exploration

Blackstone continues drill testing at Dalen and is also evaluating nearby
magnetic anomalies similar to the Dalen target. Work in 2008 at Espedalen will
also include further drilling at the Stormyra, Vesle and Megrund nickel targets.

Exploration programs are being carried out under the direction of Jari Paakki,
P.Geo., Vice President of Exploration and Project Development for Blackstone and
a qualified person as defined by National Instrument (NI) 43-101. The
information in this release was prepared under the direction of Dean MacEachern,
P.Geo., President and Chief Executive Officer for Blackstone, a qualified person

Blackstone

Blackstone is a mineral exploration company focused on nickel and other base
metals. In addition to the Lainjaur nickel deposit and Vasterbotten nickel
district targets in Sweden, and the Ertelien project in Norway, the Espedalen
nickel targets are one of four advanced Scandinavian nickel projects the Company
intends to focus on in 2008. Work programs are also scheduled at the high grade
Cu-Zn-Pb Uma and Jervas discoveries in Sweden.
