The CFTS Phase III Multi-Engine & Helicopter Pilot Training
Courses train multi-engine and helicopter students to RCAF Wings
standards and prepares the graduates of the program for follow-on
flying training. The new program will be implemented at the Canada
Wings Aviation Training Centre, a flight school led by Kelowna
Flightcraft Ltd. and supported by Bluedrop Training &
Simulation Inc., Canadian Helicopters Ltd., and Canadian Base
Operators. Located in Southport
Manitoba, the 3 Canadian Flying Forces Flying Training
School (3CFFTS), supported by Allied Wings, trains 80 per cent of
the RCAF newly winged pilots. Bluedrop Training &
Simulation Inc. will be creating over 100 lessons in support of the
CFTS Phase III training programs. The two projects are valued at
$1.5 million. As the largest provider
of courseware in Canada, Bluedrop
Training & Simulation Inc. can confidently develop the complex
lesson plans the RCAF requires. This partnership will further
enhance and improve the comprehensive training an RCAF pilot
receives, ensuring all graduates are fully equipped to move onto
the next phase of their careers.
"We are very pleased to be a member of the Allied Wings
consortium supplying leading edge technologies to the air force"
said Carl Daniels, Vice President of
Business Development & Sales, Bluedrop Training &
Simulation Inc. "CFTS is one of our most integral projects and we
