OTTAWA, Aug. 17, 2017 /CNW/ - Clearford Water
Systems Inc. ("Clearford" or the "Company"), (TSX-V:CLI), a
TSX Venture 50 Company, today announced winning the
Frost & Sullivan 2017 Best Practices Award for
Enabling Technology Leadership in the Decentralized Water and
Wastewater Treatment Industry. Access to the report is available at

Frost & Sullivan recognized the success of Clearford's
Fetherston project in Kemptville,
Ontario, where delivery of a Clearford One®
wastewater system with containerized membrane bioreactor treatment
prevented the eviction of 80 residents from their homes
because of health concerns over failing septic systems. Clearford's
Jambudiyapura sanitation project in India was also cited for its impact in making
it the first open defecation free village in the State of Gujarat
and leading to additional project opportunities in India.
"While most companies focus their attention on only improving
the efficiency of the final/end treatment systems, Clearford
focuses on optimizing the entire wastewater cycle including
collection and treatment," said Paul Hudson, Research Analyst
at Frost & Sullivan. "By incorporating onsite primary
treatment in decentralized ClearDigest® units, the
efficiency and cost effectiveness of the entire wastewater system
is greatly improved."
"Through its Clearford One offering, Clearford has provided
a one-stop solution for the entire wastewater treatment cycle, and
its unique business model—the pay-for-performance financing
scheme—has made the company a reliable and cost-effective solution
provider," he continued.
"Clearford's future strategy for growth and market expansion is
through acquisitions that will strengthen its ability to provide
customized solutions that can cater to any end-user needs,"
Mr. Hudson concluded.
As previously disclosed in the Company's press releases on
June 22 and July 28, 2017, Clearford is executing a new
strategic business plan to support its growth through a series of
acquisitions that provide a path for the Company to control all
aspects of delivering cost effective water and wastewater services,
including treatment plant fabrication and long-term system
operations. The first acquisition is expected to be completed
before the end of the fiscal year.
Neither the TSX Venture Exchange nor its Regulation Services
Provider (as that term is defined in the policies of the TSX
Venture Exchange) accepts responsibility for the adequacy or
accuracy of this release.
