Duncastle Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE:DUN) announced that, subsequent to the
resignation of Anthony Leung, it has appointed Mahesh Liyanage, CA as Chief
Financial Officer of the company effective February 20, 2009. Mr. Liyanage has
over 10 years of experience in public practice and industry. He is a Chartered
Accountant (member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British
Columbia) and has headed finance and audit teams nationally and internationally.
He started his career with BDO Burah Hathy Sri Lanka and held a supervisory role
leading audits in manufacturing, banking, and natural resource industries.
Before moving to McDonald's Fiji as head of finance he served as controller for
a garment manufacturing company which catered to the North American market. In
McDonald's Fiji he pioneered the implementation of accounting systems and
revitalized office structures, document flows and inter-department relationships
in order to achieve excellence and profitability. Mahesh Liyanage is also a
member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, Society of
Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka and Fiji Institute of Accountants.
Mr. Liyanage is currently Chief Financial Officer of Bravo Venture Group Inc.
(TSX VENTURE:BVG) and Southern Silver Exploration Corp. (TSX VENTURE:SSV).


The company also reported that it has granted 150,000 incentive stock options to
certain directors and officers exercisable at $0.10 per share for a period of
five years in accordance with the company's stock option plan.
