TORONTO, Sept. 27, 2018 /CNW/ - Imex Systems Inc. ("Imex"
or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: IMEX; OTC: IMSYF) a software
solution provider to Governments, Municipalities and Public
Authorities, plans to launch a comprehensive platform integrated
into IMEX's iGov portal called GOVCANN.GOVCANN will provide vital
content and information to medicinal and recreational cannabis
users. The Imex iGov platform was built to empower and allow
citizens to interact with their province or municipality to gain
information or to purchase needed services that these government
jurisdictions provide. With the Ontario provincial government allowing
citizens to purchase cannabis through the internet on October 17, 2018, we believe that Ontario municipalities and their citizens can
benefit from up to date content on laws, procedures, and processes
for the purchase of cannabis from this hub. This platform will
become a central interface for cannabis news as citizens want
customized information within their municipality. Going
forward, Imex plans to offer this framework to other provinces that
have adopted a retail recreational sales model instead of online
sales.
The GOVCANN platform will be built utilizing artificial
intelligence to amass highly scalable cannabis data analytics and
will provide geographically specific and relevant content for
users.
The Company has initiated conversations with several licensed
producers on how to effectively integrate into their framework.
Imex plans to become a key GATEWAY for municipalities and their
citizens to become more engaged with their recreational and
medicinal experiences. The Company will be seeking strategic
capital to facilitate this new initiative.
"This is a unique offering to help support and drive educational
interest for municipalities who want to work hand in hand with the
provinces as we approach legalization. We also see this allowing
specific clinics to reach citizens and municipalities with a very
targeted approach. It empowers municipalities to define and
customize messages to a local level that provinces are
disseminating." Says Rob Klein,
CEO.
