TORONTO, June 17, 2016 /CNW/ - iSIGN Media Solutions Inc.
("iSIGN" or "Company") (TSX-V: ISD) (OTC: ISDSF), a leading
provider of interactive mobile advertising solutions that serves
brands, commercial locations, retailers and service providers
throughout North America and their
reseller We Build Apps ("WBA") are pleased to summarize several
recently identified benefits that can be derived from iSIGN's
patented technology and Smart Antenna hardware device.
WBA and iSIGN have, over the past five months been working
closely with Crocker Park, a 78 acre complex that includes retail
outlets, restaurants, residential apartments and office towers with
approximately 18 million visitors per year, on the installation of
iSIGN's Smart Antenna hardware in their complex. The
originally discussed installation of 100 Smart Antennas expanded
into an installation of approximately 500 Smart Antennas to fully
cover their facility. As Crocker Park expands its facility
with additional residential and commercial buildings, as is planned
for this fall, additional units will be required.
This expansion came after Crocker Park and their insurance
company, a leading North American insurance provider, recognized
the security and safety features that our technology offers as a
result of our ability to update messaging in real-time in the event
of a disaster, something that alarms cannot do on their own.
This security feature of iSIGN's technology is projected to result
in a reduction of insurance premiums to Crocker Park of up to 25%
once installation of iSIGN's Smart Antennas is underway.
WBA, with their extensive software and computer hardware
experience and knowledge, in partnership with iSIGN, have created a
solar powered Green Solution and battery back-up for the networked
Smart Antennas for Crocker Park, in the event of a power
failure. This additional feature can easily be
retro-fitted to existing Smart Antenna units on-site.
This development qualifies for an investment tax credit program
offered by the United States'
federal government. This tax credit program is one of the
mechanisms designed to encourage the deployment of solar energy
projects and has recently been extended for an additional five year
period. This should be of immediate interest to municipal
transportation, amusement and entertainment locations and
residential complexes.
Both WBA and iSIGN are confident that the enhanced Smart Antenna
technology with its security and back-up features will reduce
insurance premiums while providing other cost savings and providing
investment tax credits to all other users of our technology and
hardware, as it rolls out into a Smart City security solution.
Leasing of the Smart Antenna hardware through iSIGN leasing
partner, Commercial Funding Group, headquartered in Richmond Hill, Ontario reduces large upfront
capital investment and allows for easier to manage monthly
payments, while providing iSIGN with its hardware and fee payment
upfront. This option is currently available in North American
and Australia.
