VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA (TSX VENTURE: MSQ) is pleased to
report that the CUMO drilling program for 2008 has commenced. Two
diamond drills arrived at the property last week and two holes have
been collared. Hole 08-35 has already achieved a depth of 800 feet
and drilling of Hole 08-36 has started.
Mosquito is deploying five drills from its wholly-owned
subsidiary, Kirkness Drilling, to the CUMO site, one of the world's
largest molybdenum deposits. In an aggressive strategy designed to
obtain both short-term and long-term results, the Company is
dedicating three drills to expanding the CUMO resource, which
presently consists of just 20% of a much larger mineralized system
covered by the property, and two drills to delineate the edges of
the mineralized zone.
The 2008 drilling program will also further prove and expand the
higher-grade individual metal zone areas of the CUMO resource.
These higher-grade multi-element resources were announced in the
Company's April 16, 2008 Press Release and consist of 1.103 Billion
tons containing: 2.127 Billion pounds of molybdenum oxide; 1.449
Billion pounds of copper; 68 Million ounces of silver; and 102
Million pounds of tungsten. Significant quantities of the valuable
high-tech metals rhenium and gallium - by-product metals associated
with copper and molybdenum mineralization - have also been
identified.
"We are pleased to have commenced our 2008 drilling program on
CUMO. By expanding both the total resource and the higher-grade
areas, we will significantly increase the value of the CUMO project
for our shareholders. We look forward to reporting on drilling
results throughout the rest of the year," commented Shaun Dykes,
Exploration Manager of Mosquito.
Mr. Shaun M. Dykes, M.Sc. (Eng), P.Geo., Exploration Manager and
Director of Mosquito is the designated qualified person for the
CUMO Project, and prepared the technical information contained in
this news release.
