NaiKun Wind Energy Group Inc. (TSX VENTURE:NKW) announced today that its Board
of Directors has selected Cormark Securities Inc. ("Cormark") to provide
advisory services for a review of the strategic alternatives available to the
Company to maximize shareholder value, a process that was announced on May 20,
2010.

Cormark has significant experience in the British Columbia and Canadian
renewable energy and independent power producer sectors, with particular
expertise in alternative energy advisory services and transactions. Cormark is
familiar with NaiKun Wind's assets and operations, having led the Company's $35
million equity financing in 2007.

"We are very pleased to have a highly respected firm such as Cormark supporting
NaiKun Wind to determine the best approach for realizing value from the
Company's assets and the important relationships we have developed over the last
seven years," stated Michael O'Connor, NaiKun Wind President and CEO. "We are
confident that Cormark's knowledge of our Company will create efficiencies
during the review and deliver the most appropriate strategy to optimize
shareholder value," said Mr. O'Connor.

The objectives of the review are to assess options among and beyond those
identified to date by management, to maximize exposure within renewable energy
markets and to do so at the lowest reasonable cost for value delivered. These
options include continuing to advance the offshore wind energy project as the
Company's primary project, potential business combination or joint venture
opportunities in the renewable energy sector, the sale of the Company's
interests, and others. It is anticipated that the review will be completed
during summer 2010.

NaiKun Wind advises that no decisions have been made, no formal proposals
received and no agreements reached regarding its assets, the Company or any
subsidiaries. Furthermore, there can be no assurance that the review of
strategic alternatives will ultimately result in a transaction.

While the strategic review is underway, NaiKun Wind will continue to work on
development of its offshore wind project by, among other activities, completing
the federal environmental assessment process and continuing to support the Haida
Nation as they finalize deliberations regarding potential participation as an
equity partner in the project.

NaiKun Wind Energy Group Inc. is a British Columbia-based renewable energy
company with offices in Vancouver, Masset and Skidegate. Located on B.C.'s
northwest coast, where the wind resource is one of the strongest and most
consistent in the world, NaiKun Wind's 396MW offshore wind project would
generate enough energy to provide electricity to 130,000 B.C. homes. The NaiKun
Wind project is at an advanced stage of development with environmental
certification from the Provincial Government and agreements in place with key
suppliers and First Nations. Given its development status, construction can
begin within two years of the award of an electricity purchase agreement. For
