SouthGobi Energy Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: SGQ)(PINK SHEETS: SGQRF) is pleased to announce today that it has received conditional approval from the Toronto Stock Exchange ("TSX") for the listing of its common shares on the TSX.

The listing is subject to the Company fulfilling certain requirements of the TSX in accordance with the terms of the conditional approval. The Company is proceeding to comply with these requirements and, subject to receipt of final approval, anticipates that its common shares will commence trading on the TSX on or about December 3, 2009. The shares will continue to trade under its existing trading symbol "SGQ".

The Toronto Stock Exchange, serving the senior equity market, is the largest stock exchange in Canada, the third largest in North America and the eighth largest in the world by market capitalization.
