- New Patent Granted in Korea for Price Formation in
Location-Based Advertising Networks.

messaging solutions for consumers and businesses is pleased to
announce that it has bolstered its Patent Portfolio with the recent
grant of a new patent in Korea for a "Price Formation in
Location-Based Advertising Networks".
The Company has a significant family of patents granted related
location based advertising. The total value of the
global real-time mobile location-based advertising and marketing
market is estimated to grow from $1.66
billion in 2013 to $14.8
billion in 2018, according to a research report from the
analyst firm Berg Insight. This will then correspond to 38.6
percent of all mobile advertising and marketing.
"With our latest patent we are continuing to protect our IP in
the fundamental way that location based advertising works", said

Korean Patent No. 10-1424590 was granted on July 23, 2014, and it is described as
follows:
A method of providing a location-based advertisement is
provided. The advertisement is provided to an electronic
communications device, over a communications network, on behalf of
an advertiser. The method includes calculating an adjusted price to
be charged to the advertiser for the advertisement using at least a
geographic location associated with the advertisement, a distance
of the electronic communications device from the geographic
location and optionally a bid price associated with the geographic
location. The method also includes delivering the advertisement
over the communications network to the electronic communications
device. A system for providing such advertisements, as well as a
computer-readable storage medium with instructions, in the form of
software, to perform the method or implement the system are also
provided.
