Underworld Appoints Chris Herald to the Board of Directors

Underworld Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: UW) is pleased to announce
the appointment of Christopher E. Herald as a Director to the
Board.
Mr. Herald is a geologist with 33 years of diversified
experience in the minerals exploration industry. He is presently
the Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Solitario Resources
Corporation based in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Mr. Herald is also a
Director for Atna Resources Ltd. Mr. Herald previously served as a
director and Chief Executive Officer of Crown Resources
Corporation, which was acquired by Kinross Gold Corp. in 2006, and
a director of Battle Mountain Gold Exploration Corporation, which
was acquired by Royal Gold Corp. in 2007. Mr. Herald currently
serves as Chairman of the Denver Gold Group, a not-for-profit
industry association recognized for organizing the pre-eminent
North American and European gold conferences for institutional
investors. Mr. Herald received a M.S. in Geology from the Colorado
School of Mines and a B.S. in Geology from the University of Notre
Dame.
Mr. Herald brings a spectrum of technical experience in
exploration and development with successful junior mining companies
that will strengthen the Board of Underworld Resources and assist
with the progression of Underworld's new Yukon gold discovery. The
Board of Directors of Underworld welcomes Mr. Herald to the
Company.
Underworld announces the granting of 150,000 stock options
priced at $1.30 to a Director of the Company. The options are
exercisable for a period of ten years.
Underworld Resources is a well-structured junior exploration
company focused on expanding the White Gold Discovery in the Yukon.
The Company anticipates an initial resource estimate for the
Project during the first quarter of 2010.
