STOCKHOLM--Swedish industrial-tool maker Atlas Copco AB said Friday that it has acquired the operating assets of Northeast Compressor, a New York-based distributor of air compressors and related equipment and services.

The company said that Northeast Compressor has been a part of Kinequip Inc. since the 1990s, and that the deal will see six employees join Atlas Copco.

The purchase price wasn't disclosed.
