Axfood in Deal to Offer Mobile Phone Payment Service in Stores

STOCKHOLM--Swedish food retailer Axfood AB (AXFO.SK) said Friday
it has signed an agreement with Swedbank to introduce a mobile
payment service in Hemkop, Willys and PrisXtra stores.
MAIN FACTS:
-Since mid-May, Swedbank and Axfood, together with customers,
have carried out a pilot project using the Bart payment service in
three Hemkop stores in the Stockholm area.
-Bart is linked to a bank card and when payments are made
generates a card transaction via a QR code in a mobile telephone.
The QR code is scanned at check-out.
-Shares closed Thursday at SEK242.90, valuing the company at
SEK12.74 billion.
