Ballistic Recovery Systems, Inc. (BRS) (OTCBB:BRSI)(BRSparachutes.com), a manufacturer of whole-airplane parachute recovery systems for general aviation and recreational aircraft, announced today a total of $2,182,872 in sales for the second quarter of fiscal year 2007 ended March 31, 2007 and year to date sales of $4,294,135 for the six months ended March 31, 2007. These totals represents a decrease of $133,762 from the $2,316,634 reported for the second quarter of FY 2006, and an increase of 1.67% over the $4,223,508 in sales reported for the first two quarters of FY 2006. The Company reported income before income taxes of $14,059 for the second quarter and $43,351 year to date for fiscal year 2007 compared to a loss before income taxes of ($45,494) for the second quarter and ($96,829) year to date for fiscal year 2006. Commenting on the results, Larry E. Williams, Chief Executive Officer said, �We are pleased the second quarter performance shows continued strength in the core business. We were able to both increase year to date revenue and show a continuation of profitability. We will continue to undertake more investment in operations and engineering to respond to strong market demand.� Chief Financial Officer Donald Hedquist said, �We have started to reinvest more money into expanding our product lines to meet an increasing demand. Our Tijuana sewing facility has recently increased hiring and is working seven days a week to fill demand for parachute systems. We expect to begin seeing decreases in inventory as we transition more business to the BRS owned facility.� BRS is a South St. Paul, Minnesota, based company that designs, manufactures and distributes whole-plane emergency parachute systems for use on general aviation and recreational aircraft.
