Capgemini's (CAP.FR) consulting activities are likely to post a decline in revenue in 2009, Chief Executive Paul Hermelin said Thursday.

"We expect a difficult year, probably negative in terms of top line," Hermelin said, adding that the division's margins should show "very good resistance."

He noted that the activities were starting the year with a like-for-like revenue decline similar to the 6.7% drop reported in the fourth quarter of 2008.
