DENVER, March 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Centennial Specialty
Foods Corporation (Nasdaq: CHLE; Boston: CSJ) announced today that
it has hired Doug Evans as its new Chief Financial Officer. Mr.
Evans has extensive experience in the fresh produce and processed
foods industry. Mr. Evans began his career as a certified public

left public accounting to join an entrepreneurial group, working in
accounting and operations for fresh produce, farming and food
processing facilities, which produced products for grocery,
industrial and food service customers. Later, he worked as the
Director of Finance for a production company that manufactured
Mexican sauces, salsas, refried beans and canned green chiles and
jalapenos for national branded food companies. Mr. Evans will
coordinate all finance and accounting activities for Centennial.
Mr. Evans expressed his enthusiasm about joining the Centennial
team, stating, "I am very excited about the opportunity to work
with this management team. I believe Centennial has a great product
line and is well positioned to execute its growth strategy."
"Doug's unique combination of food industry and entrepreneurial
experience will be very helpful as we move forward with our
expansion plans. Doug's addition helps round out our management
team and will allow me to focus more time on expansion
opportunities," said Jeffrey Nieder, Chief Executive Officer of

Centennial's CFO, but will continue as Chief Executive Officer and
Chief Operating Officer. Centennial Specialty Foods Corporation is
