Cardiac Network, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: CNWI), a developer of advanced
mobile medical monitoring systems, announced today the appointment
of Anthony P. Bonito to fill a vacant seat on Cardiac Network's
Board of Directors.
Mr. Anthony ("Tony") Bonito has been involved in different
facets of the computer internet software industry for over 25
years. Mr. Bonito is also the owner of IdeaCoast.com, which is a
private technology software company with breakout internet
advertising search platforms, and is the Chairman and founder of
GolfCar Network, Inc. ("GCN").
Among the assets owned by GCN is Mr. Bonito's invention, the
GolfCar.Tv golf car, for which Mr. Bonito was awarded the first US
and foreign patent rights involving installing a computer display
coupled to a golf cart. Features of today's GolfCar.Tv include GPS
proprietary software and the ability to display interactive
advertising. Future intellectual property is being developed to
allow golfers to monitor their health and vital signs during their
round of golf and beyond. From 1984 to 1992, Mr. Bonito invented
and developed the first computers to be installed on golf cars in a
fleet operation. Mr. Bonito installed the first fleet of golf car
computers at Disney World in Orlando, Florida and Arrowhead C.C. in
South Florida, among many other golf courses. Mr. Bonito is a
certified software programmer and internet technologist, and he has
also developed and consulted for many high level web domains.
As a welcomed member of Cardiac Network's Board of Directors,
Mr. Bonito will be assisting the company with intellectual property
and furthering along technology invention programs. Mr. Bonito will
also be assisting Cardiac Network with marketing strategies for its
products through the golf industry and through other channels that
capitalize on the integration of mobile cardiac monitoring services
into the mainstream population of older Americans and those at risk
for developing and/or suffering from heart conditions. More
specifically, Mr. Bonito will help develop new patents applicable
to the heart monitoring business that utilizes today's new
technologies such as WiFi and internet connected devices, such as
future Pocket Computers and Internet TV coming from Google
applications for droid-type devices. Mr. Bonito will also be
assisting Cardiac Network in its plan on how to enter the medical
monitoring business using today's Emergency Medical Services in
real time.
Cardiac Network is currently exploring various funding
strategies that it requires to execute on its business plan, and in
particular, to develop, tailor and target its future medical
products and services towards patients who desire to take a more
"hands-on" approach in continuing their healthy and active
lifestyles by bringing medical mobility to the recreational sports
setting. Cardiac Network will offer products and applications to
devices that allow patients to enjoy outdoor activities like Golf
with the comfort and assurance of knowing that their health is
being monitored by their physicians in real time 24/7 through WiFi
and internet devices, and that emergency assistance with our
embedded GPS programs will be immediately available, if
necessary.
