Carrefour SA (CA.FR) said Friday that it has appointed Marie Cheval as executive director for its hypermarkets France division.

The French food retailer said Ms. Cheval will succeed Alain Rabec, who is leaving the group.

Ms. Cheval, who is currently executive director of its e-commerce branch, will be tasked with "bringing the transformation of the operational and commercial model of the hypermarket business," the company said.

Carrefour appointed Enrique Garcia Lopez as the new executive director for e-commerce, it said.
