Carrefour SA (CA.FR) said Wednesday that it has signed a partnership contract with Spanish startup Glovo to offer a grocery home-delivery service in four countries.

The French retailer said the partnership will allow urban customers to receive deliveries within 30 minutes and is part of the company's broader ecommerce strategy.

The service will launch by early October at the latest and will be available in Seville and Valencia in Spain as well as Paris, Milan, Rome and Buenos Aires.

Other cities will be added in the coming months, Carrefour said.
