Center to Explore Opportunities in Document Preservation Technology
ROCHESTER, N.Y., May 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Communication
Synergy Technologies Inc., (ComSynTech) (OTC:CSYT), a developer of
document management solutions, and the Infotonics Technology
Center, a New York State Center of Excellence in Photonics and
Microsystems, have agreed to explore ways that ComSynTech can
leverage the Center as a regional resource to research and develop
Microsystems technology in support of ComSynTech's proprietary
document- preservation product innovations. Infotonics, a
not-for-profit corporation located in Canandaigua, NY, has
established a unique, world-class research and development
facility. It provides entrepreneurs with affordable access to
research for the development of [processes] for Microsystems
prototyping and rapidly commercializing products of the future. The
end goal of [the facility/Infotonics/the relationship] is economic
development leading to the growth of high-tech companies and the
creation of high-tech jobs across New York State. According to Seth
Borg, ComSynTech CEO, "Our access to Infotonics could provide us
with capabilities to provide single prototyping fabrication and
proof-of-concept testing. Pilot production assessments, from a
pre-commercialization standpoint, would help us better determine
overall production needs and speed entry into this $750 billion
market". By collaborating with Infotonics, Borg said, ComSynTech
could have the opportunity to interact with key government sponsors
of innovation that include the Empire State Development
Corporation, NASA, the Department of Energy, The Department of
Defense and the Small Business Administration. David R. Smith,
Infotonics' President, said today that ComSynTech "is another good
example of a small company that could benefit from the Center's
capabilities to research and develop a new Microsystems
application. If successful, such companies would drive economic
growth and create jobs in New York State, and that is at the heart
of Infotonics' mission." Michael Perrotta, ComSynTech's Chief
Operating Officer, added that "Infotonics' university partnerships
could provide important research for advancing the company's
document preservation technology." About ComSynTech Communication
