Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:DFTS) Defense Technology Systems Inc.
announced today finalizing its revitalization plan to realize $12
million in revenue in 2005. The company originally provided digital
infrastructure solutions to office buildings in major metropolitan
cities, but the company experienced the negative consequences of
the post dot com technology economy slowdown. After the September
11th terrorist attacks, management recognized the need for a
systemic Homeland Security solution in major metropolitan cities.
In 2004, with limited resources, the Company slowly restructured to
support a Homeland Security strategy. In the first quarter of 2005,
Defense Technology acquired a 20-year-old defense engineering firm
with a portfolio of proprietary technologies. Through acquisition,
Defense Technology has trailing twelve month revenue of $5 million
and a 2005 calendar year forecast of $12 million. Management
intends to build a Homeland Security product portfolio through
acquisition and currently has acquisitions under negotiation
representing over $30 million in annual revenue. The following is a
synopsis of Defense Technology's plan to define the Homeland
Security Solution marketplace and its position as a leader in that
marketplace. A complete executive summary and PowerPoint
Presentation is available by contacting LCGroup@mindspring.com
Defining Home Land Security Homeland Security arises from the
evolution of warfare between the militaries of nation states into a
conflict between the civilians of nation states and the military of
philosophically motivated affiliations without national boundaries.
The conflict between civilians and the philosophically motivated
affiliations is also referred to as terrorism. The Defense
Technology Home Land Security Customer In terrorism, cities replace
traditional military outposts. New York City, Chicago and San
Francisco are no different then military bases in Korea, Cuba and
Turkey. They are the first site to see new threats or be subject to
first attacks. United States' allies with developing economies
likewise become new military outposts. With limited defense
resources, developing economic allies become primary vectors of
terrorist attack into the United States. Domestic cities and
developing economic allies are new to the general disciplines
required of a military outpost. The threat of terrorism is also
substantially different then the threat of a conventional military
attack. In either regard, cities and developing economic allies are
in need of new technologies to equip themselves for this new
terrorist threat. The Objective of the Defense Technology Solution
Ideally, emerging Homeland Security technology will provide cities
and developing economic allies in their new military outpost role
with the ability to preempt any intended military attack. In the
event an attack can not be avoided, the next best position is to
have as much warning of an imminent terrorist attack as possible.
With early warning, preparations can be made to mitigate the
potential damage of an inevitable terrorist attack. Once an attack
has occurred, any degradation of terrorist or other disaster
response resources limits the effect of the attack. Accordingly,
Homeland Security solutions that provide a resilient response
ability can contribute to the mitigation of a realized terrorist
attack. For more information on Defense Technology Systems, Inc.
