International stocks trading in New York closed mostly lower on Wednesday.

The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts fell 0.6% to 134.03. The European index decreased 1% to 123.92. The Asian index rose 0.4% to 165.54. The Latin American index dropped 1.9% to 182.26. The emerging markets index increased 0.4% to 282.83.

Airbus SE and Danske Bank AS were among the companies with ADRs that traded actively.

ADRs of Airbus fell 2.4% after the company said Chief Financial Officer Dominik Asam will leave the company in March to take up the CFO role at SAP SE. ADRs of SAP rose 0.8%.

ADRs of Danske Bank rose 1.6% after the company said it would wipe clean the debt of 90,000 Danish customers that owe the bank money after it discovered errors in its debt-collection systems.

ADRs of ThyssenKrupp AG rose 1.3% after the company said it won a new contract from Qatar Fertiliser Co. for engineering, procurement, construction and commission of an ammonia plant.
