Electric & Gas Technology, Inc. Subsidiary Atmospheric Water Technology Introduces New Line of Large Volume WaterMaker(TM)'s DALLAS, Feb. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Electric & Gas Technology, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: ELGT) announced today its Atmospheric Water Technology, Inc. (AWT) subsidiary's introduction of a new line of large volume WaterMaker's, the original "water from air" technology. This latest iteration leverages technical advances in both water generation capacity and power conservation. Company President, Dan Zimmerman explains, "The biggest barrier to market for the WaterMaker has been the cost of the machines. There is no question that water from air technology will play an important role in solving the world's water problems, but as a new technology, first adopters have had difficulty accepting both the acquisition and operating costs. Our recent focus in India has motivated us to push down costs and find efficiencies. We have optimized these performance characteristics in our 150 gallon per day module to the point that it now produces 33% more water with 20% less power." Based on these developments the company has launched a new model range based on the new AWT-800 (800 gallon per day water generation capacity). The new machines offer greatly enhanced performance and more efficient packaging at a substantially lower cost than the model it replaces. Zimmerman continued, "Our focus has been and continues to be the larger scale projects. These new AWT-800 modules are building blocks for small, medium and large "water from air" plants. The emergence of new and exciting applications for this source of pure water serves to reinforce our commitment to successfully campaign this important product." The company, through its channel partners in India has generated proposals for large volume WaterMaker's to industries including hotel/resort, food processing, beverage, textile, pharmaceutical and petrochemical.
