Thats crazy. Your risk is that it never goes to zero and then one would be STUCK the same as you are right now. Why would anyone want to do that? For a penny....or two...or 3? I would rather cover with a good gain and move to the next investment.... wouldn't you? How much could one lose by sitting on a short position for years when there are better options. There are no shorts here and you know it. Maybe you now hope to break even. I'm not sure if you will come out of this without a loss...but neither are you. PN doesn't care. Look what he has done to your investment. And he won't even explain himself. Good luck. You will need it.

I think sub zero is simply a way of pointing out that anyone trying to unload 100's of millions of erhe shares would be stuck with no buyers and the offer price would disappear. Not surprising for a Caveat Emptor list, skull and crossbones OTC rated, more than 7 year delinquent in SEC filings company with management that clearly prefers to operate like a private company and keep shareholders in the dark. Also a good bet on the chances of dickran's dollars/share backstop excuse seeing the light of reality.

RKT989, no, that is not correct. Who do you think did all the GALP engineering/drilling design work for JACA-1 in Block 6? That was Kosmos Energy. They were doing the design work long before Shell got involved. They were flying to Portugal to help GALP. The team at GALP didn't have the expertise or experience to drill in that deep water. Kosmos has drilled in deep water, many times before.

Kosmos Energy sold off just about all their international leases because when Oil dropped a few years ago, Kosmos Energy had a cash flow problem.. That is the only reason.. They did keep STP EEZ Block 5, because they they have wells offshore Equitorial Guinea, and they believe the oil continues out West, through STP EEZ Block 4, and into Block 5. Also, Kosmos has drilled in water deeper than STP. Kosmos Energy drills in deep water. They have the experience and expertise.

The reason Kosmos Engineering brought in BP, to help offshore Mauritania/Senegal, is because although Kosmos Energy drilled and found the 100 Trillion cubic feet of natural gas (4th largest in history), they didn't have billions of dollars to setup the infrastructure needed, to extract the gas and sell it, over the next 40 years. They needed a supermajor with deep pockets, like BP.

In chess there is always another move after considering the others move....until there are no more moves. You may have been playing chess until recently. Now it seems that you may think there are no moves left...I mean there are no new investors to influence with new senerios...and you are STUCK with hundreds of millions of shares. And you are worried that the other 70 who hold large shares are starting to wonder whats up with this game. Finally you may be questioning the massive shorts idea...and that it is getting serious and maybe you are afraid it is time to try to nudge any short sellers to save themselves by covering early...before your backstop senerio were to kick in. But no one is biting which probably make you start to panic even more. What if there are no massive shorts.

So yes...now it's poker and bluffing that you are engaged in IMHO.

But not to worry. If ERHC ever does produce a deal and it is for a large enough sum of money and your ave sp is low enough maybe you will survive this with a profit. This new dickran bullshit excuse for not being able to provide facts to support your backstop nonsense is just more of the same. But you have to play my game. Your choices are:

1) wait to get your questions answered... but then it's too late because the backstop, which you still don't seem to understand if you think a backstop is a billion dollar deal, will be in place.

Or

2) start a premature short squeeze in anticipation of a backstop materializing.

What you wont get is information that guarantees a backstop in the future but gives you time to maneuver now. You're not going to get that because that's not how this game is played. And I set the rules of the game because I'm the one who has the short sellers by the b@lls. You have to either display courage or prove yourself to be a coward.
