FOLSOM, Calif., March 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Digital
Solutions (GDSI.PK - News), today released a letter to the
shareholders from W.J. "Bill" Delgado, Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer of Global Digital Solutions, Inc.
Dear Fellow Shareholders:
It is with great pleasure and excitement that I am writing to
you today on what I hope is the first of many positive updates that
I will give you as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Global
Digital Solutions, Inc.
I will begin this update by giving you three reasons why I
believe our company is incredibly well positioned to have a great
year in 2012 and why I am equally excited about the opportunities
that will be presented to us over the next three years.
First, the United States Department of Defense's (DOD) reduction
in operational expenses will be offset by significant spending
increases in IT and telecommunications infrastructure spending over
the next few years. Through our strategic relationships with
companies such as General Dynamics and Northrop Grumman, we believe
we are well positioned to receive some of this work in the
Western United States.
Second, as a result of the failed merger between AT&T and
T-Mobile and the $3 billion cash
infusion to T-Mobile, T-Mobile is expected to embark on a
vociferous capital spending spree in order to compete with
companies such as Sprint. We believe that the expected
billions in spending should ultimately benefit our company, which
is already well positioned through our business relationships in
the Western U.S.
Third, we are expecting significant increases in spending by
city and state governments in California and beyond which should create many
business opportunities in 2012. As local governments shrink and man
power is replaced by technology, one of the first budget areas that
benefits from this increased spending is the IT and
telecommunications departments. From a business standpoint, we are
well positioned in the region and I believe that my long
association and some of our key personnel's long association with
the companies and municipalities in our area will assist us in
gaining the upper hand on some of our competition. The region's
local government opportunities are very large and we are well
positioned to take advantage of these opportunities.
It is our intention to grow organically. Although we would not
say no to any strategic acquisition which is immediately accretive
while offering us a competitive advantage, we believe that the
business opportunity that has been placed before us will allow us
to grow into a large company without any added revenues through
acquisitions.
As some of our shareholders know, we have been building this
company to be a true EF&I (Engineering, Furnish, and Install)
operation. That means that we not only have engineering
capabilities, we also have the ability to procure the materials
(furnish) while also having the ability to complete high quality
work on the installation side. Our strategic partners know this and
our position as a true EF&I company gives us a significant
competitive advantage over competitors of equal size as well as
some of our larger competitors.
Looking to the future, we plan on opening additional offices
which would be strategically placed as far East as Denver. We have targeted 7 cities as potential
targets for operational offices. For competitive reasons, we will
refrain from mentioning these cities at this time.
We appreciate your support as a valued shareholder. If you have
any questions, please do not hesitate to call at any time.
In closing, we look forward to a prosperous and exciting
2012.
Sincerely,
W.J. "Bill" Delgado
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
