GSLO: Apple’s New iCloud Service Could Help Dramatically Expand Market for Volt Solar Charger

Typically speaking, clouds are an unwelcome sight for any solar
technology company. Apple’s new iCloud online content service,
however, has GoSolarUSA (Stock Ticker: GSLO) looking forward to a
little shade: The new mobile innovation could help dramatically
increase the market for GSLO’s Volt Solar Charger accessory for the
Apple iPhone.
Many analysts are predicting that Apple’s forthcoming cloud
services could expand its mobile market significantly by
eliminating the need to sync mobile devices to a computer to store
music, movies and more. RBC Capital Markets analyst Mike Abramsky
wrote this week that the innovative service will allow Apple to
target iPhones at 5.1 billion handset users worldwide versus 1.3
billion PC users.
“We expect iCloud to foment an explosion in new iPhone and iPad
users,” said GSLO President and CEO Tyson Rohde. “By giving users
instant access to their entire collections of music, videos, and
photos without the limitations of available memory or PC tethering,
iCloud should give Apple an unparalleled advantage in the
smartphone market. We anticipate a surge in iPhone sales that will
continue to drive the market for iPhone accessories such as the
Volt.”
The Volt Solar Charger uses a built-in solar panel and 1500 mAh
battery to dramatically extend the talk time of the iPhone 3,
iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4. GSLO plans to add the iPhone 5 to that
list once specifications are released for Apple’s next-gen
smartphone.
“It’s likely that Apple’s upcoming software and hardware
upgrades such as iCloud and the iPhone 5 will increase the power
requirements for these mobile devices,” Rohde said. “The Volt is
designed to allow users to talk, text and surf longer by keeping
the iPhone charged with renewable solar energy.”
GoSolarUSA is dedicated to aggressively acquiring, developing
and marketing promising and potentially profitable technology. The
Volt Solar Charger is a product of Xiamen Solar Electronics based
in Xiamen, China. The iPhone is a product of Apple Inc.
(NASDAQ:AAPL - News), which competes in the global mobile
electronics market against Motorola Mobility Holdings, Inc.
(NYSE:MMI - News) and Research in Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM - News).
